Write portfolio Reflection Competency 8 Assignment: Write portfolio Reflection 1000-1500 word detailed account of what specific activities and experiences you have accomplished to master the competency below.
The reflection should be submitted to your professor for feedback. Upload your artifacts to your portfolio so your professor can review them along with your reflection. Instructions: Read the definition of the Competency and behaviors below. Reflect on all your completed assignments thus far in the MSW program, including field practicum. Select at least 2 assignment examples that demonstrate proficiency of the competency and a minimum of 1 example from your field practicum. Follow the guidelines of the Reflective Assignment on Social Work Competency Demonstration and submit a well-developed publish of your reflection. The final reflection will be due Week 15. Clinical Social Workers understand how to intervene using a variety of culturally informed methods and interventions to provide services to clients experiencing mental health challenges. Clinicians understand the importance of using evidence-based intervention strategies based on assessments to improve and increase client coping skills and wellbeing. Clinicians understand the use of self in social work practice and the need to continually monitor how it may promote or hinder desired outcomes. Clinical social workers: 1. demonstrates knowledge and skills in culturally informed clinical interventions, including planned non-emergent intake and treatment planning, crisis intervention strategies, and ongoing evaluation of intervention efficacy; 2. apply relevant laws, agency policies, and the NASW code of ethics to guide intervention where there is reason to suspect that a client is a danger to self or others; 3. select and modify evidence-based interventions based on their usefulness and appropriateness for specific clients;
4. collaborate and consult with supervisors and other professionals to coordinate appropriate interventions.;
5. facilitate appropriate referrals to secure needed resources to promote client safety and wellbeing;
6. use trauma-focused intervention strategies with clients and their families, where appropriate
Assignment Instructions:Objective:
The objective of this assignment is to demonstrate your ability to reflect on a specific social work competency and provide evidence of how you have met the competency through your experiences, knowledge, and skills. This reflective assignment will contribute to your portfolio as a social work student/professional and will serve as evidence of your competency in a specific area of social work practice.
Task:
Each week you will focus on one specific social work competency and demonstrate mastery of the competency through your previously completed assignments and practicum experience. Include in your portfolio:
Introduction:Begin by introducing the social work competency and provide a brief explanation of its importance in the field of social work. See the full definition and practice behaviors for each competency. Clearly state the purpose of the reflection and explain the relevance of competency to your personal and professional development.
Description of Competency:Provide a clear and comprehensive description of the chosen competency. Define the key components, values, skills, and knowledge associated with this competency. Use relevant literature and resources to support your description.
Personal Experiences:Reflect on your personal experiences throughout the MSW program, including academic coursework, practicum experiences, or professional development opportunities, where you have applied this specific competency.
Provide specific examples of situations or cases where you have demonstrated the competency, highlighting the skills and knowledge you utilized. Choose a minimum of 2 assignments and field practicum experience that demonstrates proficiency of the competency.Describe why you selected each assignment and how they supported your development of the practice behaviors and the competency.

Analysis and Critical Reflection:Analyze the effectiveness of your application of the chosen competency in the examples provided. Reflect on the challenges you faced and how you addressed them, as well as the lessons you learned from these experiences. Discuss how your understanding and application of the competency have evolved over time and through various experiences.
Evidence of Competency:Provide evidence, such as case studies, feedback from supervisors or colleagues, academic assessments, or any other relevant documentation, to support your claims of meeting the chosen competency.
Choose a minimum of 2 assignments and field practicum experience that demonstrates proficiency of the competency.Describe why you selected each assignment and how they supported your development of the practice behaviors and the competency.

Requirements:
