Part 2: Other Awareness Reflection (300-500 words)
Interview someone different from you.
You will need to reflect upon and revisit your self-awareness (answers to the questions above) to adequately complete this portion of the paper. Please use information from the course readings (respect, curiosity) to develop your thoughts and questions. Your interview questions should loosely follow the same questions you answered, feel free to add questions from the flow of your conversation. The interview should be live, not through questions in an email or text. This will enhance your experience of engaging others.
In your paper, describe the similarities and differences between your cultural identities and values. What are the similarities and differences in perspective? What influenced this person’s perspective? How does the interviewee define him/herself in reference to the majority society? How did you feel interviewing this person? Were you comfortable asking about their life, why or why not? How did they feel about your questions? (ask them).
