Final Paper
All students will create a final literature review paper on which their video note presentation will be based on in Week 15.
The following are the instructions for the final term paper:
1. Pick a Leadership Style: The topic needs to focus on a leadership theory you like and the ethical perspective that drives you. Watch the Video: Ten Leadership Theories, this might give you an idea of the leadership style you would like to employ. If you know of another leadership style no mentioned in the video you are welcome to research it.
2. Pick an Ethical Theory: The ethical theory can be any of the following, virtue ethics, ethical egoism, Kantian, care ethics, Plato’s ethics, or utilitarianism.
3. Write a Research Question: Your research questions should narrowly define what it is you want to research. The topic should focus on a specific leadership theory/theories and focus on one ethical theory. And explain the need to research this topic.
Example of Research Question: Can you be a transactional leader in a factory setting that has strict output demands and employ care ethics with the line workers that you have limited time with?
4. Find Scholarly or Peer-Reviewed Articles: Attempt to find both leadership and ethics literature that is related to your research question.
5. Literature Review: Explain what the literature has to say on the topic you are researching. You will use the 15 or more articles that you pulled and explain what the literature says about your research topic. Use proper in-text citations in your literature review.

Introduction followed by Literature Review (use as page heading)
References (use as heading on a separate page)

Your Literature Review will be graded on the following:
APA formatted Cover Page (Short title of paper should appear on this page).
No Abstract needed
Research Question (Level 1heading) this is the thesis statement (reuse the short title of your paper), you are introducing the reader to your topic and briefly explaining what you have researched and why it’s significant. This section of the paper should be about (250 words). Remember, there are no first-person statements in this paper, you will be penalized if you write any statements such as, “I believe that….” or anything that begins with “I”.
Literature Review (Level 1 Heading) you are guiding the reader through the literature that answers your thesis statement. Answers to your thesis statement is done with the literature, in other words, you are reporting what the experts had to say about your chosen topic. You can have (Level 2 Headings) to guide the reader through the literature. Once again, no I statements should appear in the body of the Literature Review.
