Using 13.2 Muscle Types and 13.3 Types of Muscle from Visible Body, describe the differences and similarities between skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscle. Include locations, structure, and function of each.
Using 14.1 to 14.4 in Visible Body, describe the steps of skeletal muscle contraction and relaxation. Include how nerves stimulate this process as well as how the sarcoplasmic reticulum is involved and the movement of actin and myosin filaments in cross-bridging.
Use 16.6 to 16.62 and choose one muscle section to describe the muscles of this section to the class and their movement. Why is your muscle section you have chosen important? Can you come up with a good mnemonic to help remember these muscles?
