SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE ASSIGNMENT
Students will research a specific assigned topic related to Sustainability and threats to humanity’s survival, as identified by the many SCI classes as a topic of importance and threat.
Pretend that you have a crystal ball that can see the future. Research inventions and changes that you think might occur in the future.
How might the topic you researched make the concept of the 6th Extinction more or less likely to occur?
Each group will submit a detailed annotated Bibliography and create an infographic that will provide evidence and data for any conclusions you’ve included in your annotated text.
Tabular data can be attached in an Appendix. References and sources are required for all data you CREATE in the infographic.
DELIVERABLES:
Each Group will submit one team-written summary annotation of 4-5 pages in length (minimum 1200 words, 12pt font). The references and citations are not counted in the word count. At least 15 reliable references must be included. Each reference should be fully cited, and a summary of the data compiled in the text should be attached. What did the reference say about your topic?
In addition to the research summary & annotated reference list, each group will submit an Infographic that YOU CREATED that could be used for the public understanding of the topic, like a Public Service Announcement PSA (or voice-over PowerPoint slides) with visuals and at least three graphics that include data.
