Choose one of the following: the Soviet Revolution, Iranian Revolution, or the victory of the Chinese Communist Party in China’s civil war.
Make an argument that the revolution/civil war either was the result of a regime decay that is part of the cyclical politics expected by advocates of anacyclosis OR was an example of emancipatory politics along the lines suggested by Mouffe. Identify the aims/motives of the revolution/civil war, what sort of regime was created when the revolutionaries won, and how would Arendt see this revolution given her comments on revolutions.
