We have read 4 very different coming of age stories. Three certainly had some autobiographical influcenes. For your final paper I want you to craft your own coming of age story. You can either write something completely fictional, use elements of your life to write fiction, or craft a memoir.
Whichever you choose, the story should contain a coming of age moment, where we see the character (or you) have an experience that changes them, makes them grown and learn.
These final papers are due at the time of the final exam but will be submitted electronically (we will not meet that during that time). Papers should be between 750 and 1000 words.
Please do not submit first publishs – take the time to write, edit, rewrite so the work you are giving me is really something that you feel proud of. (sidenote – a well crafted story about your childhood could be an lovely gift to a “grown-up” in your family!)
